The plugin Multisqueeze allows to run several Squeezelite Players simultaneously on a single Max2Play device.
At a glance
- Configures number of needed instances of the Squeezelite Player
- Assigns main audio output
- Offers advanced options for each player
First of all, it is possible to set the number of instances of the Squeezelite Player needed simultaneously. Afterwards, you can start and stop each single player. Up to your needs, you have the possibility to start all players at once automatically with Max2Play (Autostart). If you use a Raspberry Pi model, you can assign the main audio output. Either the HDMI or jack output for headphones are set permanently or the Raspberry Pi sets the audio output dependent on the availability of an HDMI device.
As soon as all player instances are set up, there are advanced options for each player to choose the default audio output device and pass command parameters. For a better overview, e.g. in the Logitech Media Server interface, you can assign an individual name to each single player.
Please note: It is recommended not to run more than three instances at the same time on Raspberry Pi models.
