You can get a key via the provided google form link: https://developer.spotify.com/technologies/libspotify/application-keys/

Das ist nur eine neue Option, aber grundsätzlich reicht eine der folgenden Anforderungen aus:

    Raspberry Pi, or
    Linux, or
    Mac, or
    Windows
New! Raspberry Pi + Conexant 2-Mic Development Kit for Amazon AVS

    Hi Christoph,

thanks for your reply. Actually you don’t need an device, you can officially install it on a raspberry pi:

This project provides a step-by-step walkthrough to help you build a hands-free Alexa Voice Service (AVS) prototype in 60 minutes, using wake word engines from Sensory or KITT.AI. Now, in addition to pushing a button to „start listening“, you can now also just say the wake word „Alexa“, much like the Amazon Echo. You can find step-by-step instructions to set up the hands-free prototype on Raspberry Pi, or follow the instructions to set up the push-to-talk only prototype on Linux, Mac, or Windows.

NEW! – Click here for instructions to build the AVS Prototype using a Raspberry Pi and the Conexant 2-Mic Development Kit for Amazon AVS

Yes, please give us a spotify connect plugin. I tried to install it myself and it worked, but the spotify connect blocked shairport sound output afterwards and I couldn’t get it right. Not much linux knowledge on my side to fix this…

    Hi,

are you using Shairport (https://github.com/abrasive/shairport) or Shairport-Sync (https://github.com/mikebrady/shairport-sync). Also, if it’s the first one, are you thinking about an upgrade. Shairport isn’t supported and actively maintained.

    Best,
    Andreas

Let me tune in on this as well. I would love to see a Max2Play Spotify Connect plugin too. Squeezebox seems to be so outdated and performance hungry…

    Hello,

same problem on my side. Squeezebox Server seems to be overkill for my use case. Do you have any fix?

    Thanks,

    Andreas
