16. Februar 2016 at 14:20 #18512Hi hermano,
in the Max2Play interface, enter „Filesystem Mount“ and scroll down to the Samba Share section. The third field is for the comments noop refers to in his answer.

16. Februar 2016 at 13:55 #18509Hi Klaus,
Thank you for your post.
We have also discussed this Jivelite problem by email. According to the attached screenshots, you use the Max2Play Squeezeplug Image which we don’t update anymore. Therefore, there will definitely under-the-hood changes missing on your image. Besides Max2Play, the Linux kernel and packages need to be up to date as well.
I recommend to use the latest Raspberry Pi Default Image of Max2Play which runs Jivelite just fine, or the equivalents optimized for sound cards and displays.
Have you solved your problem so far?

1. Februar 2016 at 18:31 #18299Hi Franck,
the next time you do an update, dare to click on „Click here to show detailed information“. Each extra information shows you the previously installed and the just updated version of the particular plugin. Read the text more from the computer’s perspective after you asked it: „What are you doing right now?“ „Update HiFiBerry“. Max2Play does not ask you to do it manually, but rather tells you the Pi updates the HiFiBerry plugin in the moment this output line was written.

1. Februar 2016 at 13:33 #18284Hi DavidW,
Thank you for your questions.
The C1+ image is smaller because it is based on a newer version of Ubuntu. Both images are based on Linux and the Hardkernel version more precisely. There are no differences bettween the C1 and C1+ images related to functionality.
If you experience any issues, share them with us.

1. Februar 2016 at 13:21 #18283Hi paddy and hubert77,

1. Februar 2016 at 13:13 #18282Hi asplundj,
thank you for your question.
For the moment, the Community plugin „Use Command“ from „noop“ simplifies the access to the unmount command and might work for you. For future versions of Max2Play, we will try to add an unmount button doing the work for you.

1. Februar 2016 at 13:05 #18281Hallo tim and Mondial,
thank you for your feedback. Seems like not all packages are available at our source. We will solve this problem as soon as possible.
For the moment, please fall back on Squeezebox Server with the DLNA plugin which is the solution we recommend anyway.

1. Februar 2016 at 12:53 #18280Hallo jok56,
thank you for your question.
Indeed, controlling Kodi with the 7 inch touch screen does not work perfectly smooth at the moment. Kodi expects you to „double click“ the navigation buttons. To improve the user experience, enter Max2Play’s „RPi Display“ menu and tick „Kodi Mouse 1-Click“ which changes that to single clicks.

1. Februar 2016 at 12:29 #18277Hallo jzimmer1000,
thank you for your question.
The lua-file is no compiled file and simply be replaced within an existing Jivelite installation. For example, after burning a new Max2Play image, install the pre-compiled Jivelite version we are offering in Max2Play, move to the folder
opt/jivelite
and overwrite the existing lua-file with your modified version. If your display is working fine, we would like to offer your skin in Max2Play officially. What do you think about it?

1. Februar 2016 at 12:21 #18276Hi sheela and funxer,
how is the audio playback on your Squeezebox Server today? Have you realized the change to DLAN?
I recommend to check if Kodi was enabled at the same time using the same audio output. Furthermore, you could restart the SBS.

1. Februar 2016 at 12:17 #18275Hi Murat,
thank you for your question.
There should be a folder called
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/
which contains the caches of installed and downloaded plugins for the Squeezebox Server. Log in with SSH, move to the folder, delete the particular caches and restart SBS. Alternatively, you could create a Samba Share for this folder and enter it from another PC.Maximilian from Max2Play
1. Februar 2016 at 12:10 #18274Hi Murat,
thank you for your post. Are you still having trouble with your U3 and the latest Kodi version?
You could try out the following solutions:
Solution 1:
Do a beta update and reinstall Kodi (the package hosted on our website)Solution 2:
Log into the console (with SSH) and enter the following command:
rm -R /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/mesa-egl/Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to check every USB-DAC available and we don’t have tested the Hardkernel USB-DAC so far. If the audio output is still unstable, it could be related to compatibility issues.

1. Februar 2016 at 11:56 #18271Hi ALW,
thank you for your post.
Are you still having problems with your Wolfson sound card after updating to the new kernel?
With Max2Play 2.27, we added support for Wolfons cards and the new kernel version. Therefore, you could either start all over again with a new image or update to the latest version and choose your Wolfson soundcard from the dropdown menu.

1. Februar 2016 at 11:52 #18270Hi notedop,
thank you for your interest in Max2play. I confirm your thoughts about 2, 3 and 4 are correct. With several Max2Play clients and one of them running a Squeezebox Server is a common use case.
Your plans regarding a 5.1 surround sound seem difficult when we think about the signal latency WiFi would cause.
We recommend to acoustically measure the room’s distances with a microphone, find out the best position for your surround sound system, buy a good AV receiver and speakers and use a Raspberry Pi connected to the recevier via HDMI. This way, you can make sure to achieve a good sound quality.Regards

29. Januar 2016 at 18:48 #18247Hallo Robert,
22. Januar 2016 at 18:41 #18093Hi asplundj and noop,
thank you for your posts.
This feature is a great idea and we will include it in future versions of Max2Play.
@noop: Thank you for your script, your support is appreciated and will be the used for improving the Kodi interface of Max2Play.Maximilian from Max2Play
22. Januar 2016 at 16:05 #18088Hi henry_ch,
thank you for your post.
I recommend to use the 7″ Display if you would like to use the 7 inch touch screen from first start without configuring Max2Play. Wit ha correctly built up setup, Jivelite appears on your 7 inch touch screen.
The HiFiBerry Image is useful if you would like to configure your setup easily as an audioplayer. The beginner setup, for example, acitvates the MPD Player and the compatible visualization YMPD.
But please note: Every functionality can be added to every image by simply install the plug-ins and configuring Max2Play on your own.We also plan to publish the HiFiBerry and IQaudio menus as separate plug-ins soon. Therefore, you could combine the benefits of both images.
If you have further questions, just ask.

22. Januar 2016 at 15:57 #18087Hallo crepp,
22. Januar 2016 at 15:46 #18083Hallo Edgar,
22. Januar 2016 at 15:23 #18078Hi sound bomber,

22. Januar 2016 at 15:02 #18077Hallo Gerd,
22. Januar 2016 at 14:42 #18076Hi Nojelc,
Thank you for letting us know. There is an issue with Kodi 15.1 and U3, sorry for that. There are so many differenz systems and we don’t have the time to test every change with every single device. Therefore, your feedback is appreciated.
The following solutions are available:
Solution 1:
Update Max2Play to the latest Beta Version and install Kodi once again (the link given in our interface)Solution 2:
Log into the console with SSH and enter the following command:
rm -R /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/mesa-egl/Kodi should work now. Please report your progress! Thank you.

22. Januar 2016 at 14:17 #18074Hi aojari,
thank you for your question. At the moment it is not possible to set a static IP for WiFi by using the M2P interface. It is already on our list and might come with future versions of Max2Play. You can look up changes in our changelog.

21. Januar 2016 at 13:56 #18043Hi Robert,
Thank you for your input.
We have a printer server plugin for Max2Play which we will add to our plug-in page soon. It can be downloaded and activated like any other plug-in. After you have opened the Printer Server menu, you can install the server on your Max2Play device.
Best regards
