    Hi Quentin,

    Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce the issue lacking a Squeezebox Touch and cannot provide help. Therefore, to ask also experts in other SB Touch related forums makes sense to me.

Using Spotify with your Squeezebox requires a Spotify Premium account. Do you have one?
Do you have access to a Raspberry Pi 2 you could use with Max2Play? If yes, install Max2Play and the same version of LMS on this Pi and test the Spotify Triode plug-in with that configuration. We have just tested the Triode Plugin on a Raspberry Pi 2 with LMS 7.9 Nightly and a Spotify Premium Account and could login and play music successfully.

    Hi Bazzzer,

    Thank you for your reply.

It seems we still did not get your problem. According to your previous posts, we got the impression several times that you do not get your Wolfson board to work at all:

I’ve tried via the Wolfson board, but after some frustrating days, I can’t get it to work — way to get the Wolfson board working

Is your issue, accordingly, about how to process audio inputs with your – already correctly installed and working – Wolfson sound card?

    Hi Quentin,

which version of LMS is installed on your Squeezebox?

For the setup of Max2Play with Raspberry Pis and ODROIDs, Spotify works with the Triode plugin en- and the LMS plugin disabled and LMS 7.8.0, 7.8 Nightly and 7.9 Nightly. If this does not work on your Squeezebox Touch, I recommend to contact Logitech or related forums to learn more about this issue. It would be great, though, if you let us know the results here as well.

    Hi Quentin,

accordingly, you left out http in the beginning which was included in all trials before?

Great it does work now. You’re welcome.

    Hallo [email-protected].

    Hallo an alle,

    Hi Chief_BSA,

have you tried out to activate Kimmo’s and Triode’s plugin „DSDPlayer“ which is included in LMS 7.9 Nightly?

    Hi m.max2play,

you can switch the display on and off in the „Rpi Display“ plugin of Max2Play very easily. With setting another port for Kodi like you described, it is a possible workaround. Until today, we have not come across a really good solution for this problem. If anyone knows one, let us know.

The plugin XSqueeze for Kodi makes sense if you use Kodi primarily.

Which path appears after hitting „Show Network Devices“? Does your NAS show up there and if yes, did you use this path to mount the NAS on your Pi?

    23. Februar 2016 at 14:13 #18654

    Hi Bart,

first, I would like to show you our Multiroom Audio Configurator which might help you with your plans as well.

If I understand, correctly, you want to setup the system in three rooms: home cinema, bathroom and kitchen.
Every Pi driven by Max2Play is capable of streaming audio to several other Pis serving as clients. One solution is to name each Pi after the room and to set up the Logitech Media Server (LMS or Squeezebox Server)on the Pi „Home Cinema“ and launch the corresponding Squeezelite Players on the „Bathroom“ and „Kitchen“ Pis. In the interface of the LMS, those players appear in the top right corner in a dropdown menu. From there, you can control the playback separately or synchronized for each room.

I am not sure at the moment how your existing hardware is connected. Do you already have speakers in your kitchen and bathroom connected to your amplifier? What I want to point out is: There is no need to put a Pi in each room if you have speakers in place receiving audio signals from your cinema amplifier. In that case, you could place two Pis in your home cinema, let’s say one „Kitchen“ Pi with the 7″ touch display running the LMS and the Squeezelite Player and one „Bathroom“ Pi with the second Squeezelite Player, each with an HiFiBerry DAC+ or an IQaudIO Pi-DAC+ connected to the RCA inputs of your amplifier. The 7″ touch display could be used to control all Squeezelite Players via Jivelite (visualization for Squeezelite Players). But again, I am not sure at this point, we might have still clear up things.

    Hi Quentin,

    Thank you for your question.

If you entered John Smith,bananas,sec-ntlm,iocharset=utf8 literally, please try name=John Smith,password=bananas,sec=ntlm,iocharset=utf8.

You could also try to look up the IP address of your NAS in your network and replace NAS-BE-33-DE with it.

    Hi Bazzzer,

    Thank you for your reply.

    You wrote

I am not using the old squeezeplug, I am using the OLD, ORIGINAL Wolfson board!

    and

The version of Max2Play is 2.27 – the latest squeezeplug version.

Heiner was not referring to your hardware, but to the Max2Play image you use. We recommend to retry the set up of your Wolfson sound card with the latest Raspberry Pi Default Image available instead of continue with the Squeezeplug Image which indeed has some not updated components, e.g. Kernel and certain packages. To be more precise: If your Image comes with the Squeezeplug logo on the browser interface, please switch over to the default image and choose „Wolfson/Cirrus Logic sound card“ from the list at „Raspberry Settings“.

    Hello tparvais,

Thank you for your question. It is not possible for us to test and support every USB DAC available and we have come across some models causing problems. Two USB DACs I can recommend for Max2Play is the Logilink 7.1 and the X-Fi USB DAC.

    Hi Toni,

could you please describe more precisely which image you downloaded and how you installed it on your microSD card? Usually, you can enter the browser interface of Max2Play with http://max2play/. Did you use two „//“ in front of max2play or is it a typo in your first post?

    Hi Simon,

we use the Logilink WiFi dongle we offer in our shop as well. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee every WiFi dongle is fully compatible with our Accesspoint solution because of the high number of different models that we would have to buy and test.

    Hallo Marcel,

    danke für deine Updates.

    Prüfe bitte noch folgende Punkte:

    Hi m.max2play,

Thank you for your detailled information.

Indeed, running Kodi and Squeezelite/Jivelite does work with different sound outputs, but not when displayed on the same screen like you described. We will discuss your workarounds and the options to improve the functionality of Max2Play related to this use case.

    Hi all,

we have checked the accesspoint feature of Max2Play at least two times since Alex has run into problems with it and now again in reaction to gapmedia. If we set up accesspoint on a Raspberry Pi, the smartphone finds the Pi’s WiFi network and can successfully connect to it, both in „Standalone“-mode (without internet) and out „Standalone“ (with internet through the Pi’s LAN connection).
We use dnsmasq to provide IP addresses to each device trying to hook into the Pi’s own WiFi network. On our test devices, this service starts automatically as expected without adding the code of noop.

Due to the amount of information in this thread, it is very hard for us to reveal the reasons causing Accesspoint to fail on your devices. Cool thing that noops lines of code help you out for the moment.

    Hallo Karl,

    Hi mbricogn,

    Thank you for your post.

Since there exist so many differenz USB DACs, it is impossible to do tests with each of them. Accordingly, we cannot tell you if the USB DAC you mentioned would work with Max2Play. However, we have made good experiences with the Logilink 7.1 and X-Fi USB-DACs so far.

    Hallo gerhardc,
