Hi Fernando,
The DAC should be able to automatically read and play the formats. So you don’t really need to adjust any parameters. To use the DAC with Max2Play, select the output option „sysdefault…ifi…“ in the advanced settings of Squeezelite or Shairport (depending on what you want to use).
16. Februar 2023 at 14:39 #52679Hi Steve,
I am not aware of any similar errors that can be traced back to the DigiAmp+.
Before you send the sound card back, you could test the playback with a fresh image. Maybe only the image or the SD card is defective. Install the Squeezebox server on the new image and try the playback again (with and without the sound card attached). If that works, try the whole thing again with Jivelite. However, if the problems still occur, there is probably a hardware defect.16. Februar 2023 at 14:31 #52678Hallo Christian,
Februar 2023 at 14:58 #52668Hi Gerhard,
Thanks for pointing this out again. We have lost track of this fix. However, it should now be included in the latest beta update.
9. Februar 2023 at 14:48 #52667Hi Alex,
It depends on what you want to do with the files. To play them remotely via the server, the server would have to connect to your remote player. Then it could access your local files and stream them to the player. I guess you would need a direct VPN tunnel between the two devices for this. To control the server you would need of course a remote connection to the NAS too. Where you store your files is relatively unimportant, as long as the server can access them. However, it probably makes the most sense to store them on the NAS so that you can always access them.
9. Februar 2023 at 14:09 #52665Hallo Peter,
7. Februar 2023 at 15:44 #52649The 2W is supported since update 2.56. You should therefore burn the current beta image onto the SD card that you want to use for the 2W.
7. Februar 2023 at 15:25 #52647That’s great news vishnu! I’m glad you found a solution. Thank you for sharing it with the community.
7. Februar 2023 at 15:13 #52645Hi alex,
I have also send you an email about this. You should be able to change the email address for the forum account in the profile settings in WordPress. You can also adjust the mail for the shop in the account settings. When it comes to the Max2Play licence, we can only offer you to use a licence code as a new licence instead of your email address.
If you change the licence in the Max2Play web interface, this should have no effect on the Squeezebox server.2. Februar 2023 at 14:58 #52636In this case, a driver that works with the UB400 is probably included in the kernel. It always depends on the dongle and the driver. If the UB500 does not work out-of-the-box, a suitable driver must be installed manually.
2. Februar 2023 at 14:55 #52635We are not currently planning to revise the pairing in the Bluetooth plugin, as it works for the primary use cases we intended it for.
It may be that the Fire TV only lists Bluetooth devices that correspond to a certain Bluetooth class. That is why
sudo hciconfig hci0 class 0x00041C
was used in the other thread to customise this class. You would have to check whether the class was updated correctly in your case. If you enterhciconfig hci0 class
, the class should be displayed. Also when entering[bluetooth]# discoverable on
the same class should be displayed.2. Februar 2023 at 12:40 #52634Dear Werner,
We do not sell sound cards with digital input in our shop and do not officially support them. However, you may be able to find them at other sellers and can install the corresponding drivers manually. The LMS can process input signals using the Wave Input plugin. This also works with Max2Play if you use the HiFiBerry DAC ADC for analogue input signals, for example.
31. Januar 2023 at 15:46 #52626Hi vishnu,
Max2Play does not currently appear to be compatible with Fire TV. The Bluetooth pairing of Max2Play is set up in such a way that the connection always starts from the Max2Play device. For the connection to the Fire TV, however, it is necessary that the pairing is initialised by the Fire TV.
Maybe someone else in the forum knows a workaround, but otherwise you cannot currently establish a connection to the Fire TV via Bluetooth.31. Januar 2023 at 14:51 #52624Hallo Peter,
31. Januar 2023 at 14:19 #52623Hi vishnu,
Is the dongle compatible with Linux/Raspberry Pi and does it have a corresponding driver? If so, you may have to install the driver manually if it is not included in the Raspberry Pi kernel. The manufacturer of the dongle should help you with this.
31. Januar 2023 at 14:09 #52622Hi vishnu,
The speaker you are using seems to be an active speaker. The DigiAmp+ is intended for passive speakers. To connect to your speaker, you can either use Bluetooth or a DAC sound card with a jack output.
26. Januar 2023 at 14:32 #52615Hallo Thorsten,
24. Januar 2023 at 14:10 #52609Hi Raymond,
Thank you for sharing your solution with us. The function for expanding the file system in Max2Play is not designed for such large partitions. However, we will check whether we can update this.
19. Januar 2023 at 14:18 #52599In this case either the image is faulty or in the worst case the SD card is defective. I was just confused that your screenshot showed „Raspberry Pi 2“ in the upper right corner under the Max2Play version. Burning a fresh image will probably help.
19. Januar 2023 at 14:11 #52598Hi knorke,
Januar 2023 at 17:42 #52592Hallo runmiwirun,
vers=2.0
17. Januar 2023 at 15:52 #52591Hallo knorke,
17. Januar 2023 at 15:49 #52590Hi radiomog,
Looks like something is wrong with the image. Please try to burn a fresh image again. If it still doesn’t work, please try using an older (legacy) image for the Pi 2. We are currently only developing Max2Play for the Pi 3 and Pi 4, which means that older Pi versions may no longer be compatible with the image.
12. Januar 2023 at 14:30 #52583Hi wilsdog,
Have you tested this with the 2.53 version from our download page? Because this version has an older kernel. The beta version 2.56 will soon fully replace the 2.53 so all current Pis should work with the image.
When Pis are distributed that require newer firmware, we will again release a new version of the image that supports the latest kernels. However, it always takes a while until we can make sure that all Max2Play functions work with the newer kernel.10. Januar 2023 at 13:09 #52579Hi wilsodg,
Please try to select „sysdefault“ as output instead of „jack“ in the advanced settings of Squeezelite. Can you then launch Squeezelite and play audio via the jack output?
5. Januar 2023 at 17:53 #52573I don’t know of any way to send the command via HTTP. But you could simply execute the command remotely via SSH.
The option for LIRC In/Out in the Raspberry Settings is intended to change the default GPIO pins that LIRC uses to receive and send signals.
