Hi polrus,
With an activated Premium licence, you can perform a beta update in the „Settings/Reboot“ tab. You can perform a „normal“ update at any time to return to the current version of Max2Play.
6. Juli 2021 at 11:41 #51415Hi Alex,
Theoretically, this should be possible. However, I can’t promise you that the system will run stably. In the past, the access point has led to strange problems in interaction with other plugins and is therefore only suitable for special applications. You are welcome to test this setup, but we recommend connecting Max2Play to the router via LAN if possible.
6. Juli 2021 at 11:32 #51413Hi Stéphane,
Until we have found a solution, you could of course switch to the buster image, since it works with that.
2. Juli 2021 at 16:37 #51403Hi polrus,
Could you please try to update to the current beta? Does the deletion work this way?
2. Juli 2021 at 16:30 #51402Hallo Song2,
2. Juli 2021 at 16:24 #51401Hi Alex,
Do you need the access point for any other Max2Play applications? If I’m not mistaken, Kore should also work simply via the home network. So as long as your smartphone and Kodi are on the same network, Kore should find Kodi.
2. Juli 2021 at 15:49 #51400Hallo Dieter,
2. Juli 2021 at 15:39 #51399Hallo djmatjes,
2. Juli 2021 at 15:13 #51398Hi Marcello,
You could try increasing the buffers in the advanced options of the individual Squeezelite players. You can find the different command line options here: https://www.max2play.com/en/wiki/command-line-options-for-squeezelite/
Apart from that, I can only recommend that you have a look at the slimdevices forum, as this is probably a Squeezebox server problem and not directly related to Max2Play.
Please also check again whether streaming works better with smaller files than with larger ones, because of the network load.
Does the problem also occur when you run only one of the two Pi 2s?
30. Juni 2021 at 17:37 #51377Hi polrus,
Which of our images do you use? Please check the debug info at the bottom of the Settings/Reboot page to see if you are using our Stretch or Buster image. If you are using an older image (e.g. Jessie or Wheezy), please download a fresh Stretch image and burn it to the SD card. Deleting the mount points should work there.
30. Juni 2021 at 17:33 #51376Hi Stéphane,
I have now tested different versions of the LMS with the Stretch Image again. In fact, I did not manage to output sound either. I have informed our developer about this. I’ll let you know as soon as we have a fix.
30. Juni 2021 at 15:23 #51375Hallo Dieter,
30. Juni 2021 at 15:20 #51374Hi Nick,
That sounds like a good project and should be feasible. What amps do you have in mind?
Theoretically, you can use an equaliser with every Max2Play device, but that certainly doesn’t come close to the quality of an external preamp. In any case, with so many players, you should think about using a powerful server. I recommend a Pi 4 with at least 2 GB of RAM, but 4 or 8 would certainly be better. Or you can run the server on a NAS or similar.
25. Juni 2021 at 13:02 #51364Then you probably use our Jessie image. In this case, I would definitely recommend an update to Stretch or Buster, as we no longer actively support Jessie.
25. Juni 2021 at 12:00 #51362Hi Marcello,
You could check the Squeezebox server log to see if there are any error messages.
Maybe the network settings of the server will also help you: Settings > Advanced > Network
What happens if you change the buffer sizes there?25. Juni 2021 at 11:52 #51361Hi justwords,
What exactly do you mean by „original Max2Play-tree“? You can create a backup file for the server in the Squeezebox Server plugin and then upload it again with the new image. Apart from that you can backup your whole image with our image burner plugin. Otherwise you cannot transfer the settings from one image to another.
23. Juni 2021 at 13:09 #51355Hi Stéphane,
I tried the whole thing with a Pi 4 and the current beta version of our Buster image and it worked.
Here is my approach:1. Installed Sqeezebox Server v8.2
2. Installed Bluetooth
3. Rebooted the System
4. Scanned for BT Devices
5. Connected Smartphone
6. Installed Bluetooth for Squeezebox Server
7. Rebooted the System
8. Connected Smartphone again
9. Started BT playback in the Squeezebox Server (Favorites –> Play Button)
10. Started playback on SmartphoneThe same should work with the stretch image. Please test this again and write me if it works. If it doesn’t, we’ll take another look at the stretch image and possibly come up with a fix. Please note that Squeezelite must run with your sound card as output device (in the advanced settings of Squeezelite) for the stream to work.
23. Juni 2021 at 12:41 #51354Hi Marcello,
Thanks again for the information. Please try to select „sysdefault – bcm2835 Headphones,…“ as sound output for Squeezelite in your headphone players. Do the problems still occur then?
23. Juni 2021 at 12:24 #51353Hallo Udo,
22. Juni 2021 at 13:18 #51350Hi Marcello,
Thank you for the detailed description of the problem. We only need a few more pieces of information: Please tell us how your systems are connected to the home network (WLAN or LAN). Which Pis do you use (2B/3B/3B+/4B)? Which Max2Play version is installed on the Pis and which image (Stretch/Buster)? The latter can be found in the debug info at the bottom of the page „Settings/Reboot“. Which sound output in the advanced settings of Squeezelite have you chosen for your Pis?
Is the system stable if you only use the Max2Play players?
16. Juni 2021 at 14:01 #51345Hallo Dieter,
16. Juni 2021 at 13:58 #51344Hi KR,
You can activate your Max2Play license on as many Pis as you like. You would of course support us additionally if you buy another license, but as said before you don’t need the extra license. You can then sync your Pis via the Squeezebox server and play the same music on both at the same time.
16. Juni 2021 at 13:55 #51343Hallo Thomas,
16. Juni 2021 at 13:53 #51342Hi fahzz,
You should find the option for Allo Boss 2 in the Allo plugin.
16. Juni 2021 at 13:51 #51341Hi justwords,
I just replied to you in another thread – so it’s not the English keyboard. Please make sure you are using the latest Stretch or Buster image from Max2Play. Then enter
pi
as „max2play login“ andmax2play
for the password. By the way, the English keyboard was not activated on my test device.16. Juni 2021 at 13:39 #51340Hallo justwords,
16. Juni 2021 at 13:36 #51338Hi Stéphane,
Please follow these instructions in our wiki: https://www.max2play.com/en/wiki/bluetooth-direct-stream/ and contact us if the problem persists after that.
Edit: Please also consider burning a fresh (current Stretch or Buster) image to the SD card and try again with that.- This reply was modified 3 years, 5 months ago by MarioM.
16. Juni 2021 at 13:32 #51337Hi Nico,
The best thing to do is to burn the latest Max2Play Buster image (which you can find on our download page: https://www.max2play.com/max2play-image/) to an SD card. Then boot the Pi from this SD card.
11. Juni 2021 at 13:06 #51326Hallo Dieter,
11. Juni 2021 at 13:02 #51325Hi Nico,
Do you have any hard drives connected to the Pi? Please burn the latest Buster image to the SD card again and reboot the Pi with it (without the other Pi).
