    Hi antonio,

The important thing is to make sure the resolution fits with one of the Jivelite skins we offer.

For turning off with touchscreen, we currently only offer the modified joggler skin which is available for WaveShare touchscreen resolutions as well. You can check out the Jivelite plugin and its optional skins to see the exactly resolutions.

    Hi alex,

As I often try to communicate, setting up Max2Play, or any setup with Pi and sound in a car is a problematic challenge for various reasons.

Your best bet would be to use a GUI with touchscreen or another kind of playback interface to circumvent the many possible issues that might arise in a setup utilizing an access point on a Pi running in a car with a sound card attached (and probably music storage device as well).

You could also try setting up some simple HTTP commands (try using the Voice Control plugin beta to get some example commands and further info).

    Hi Mike,

HW volume control is different with shairport, so that probably shouldn’t work anyway.

Kodi should always be installed as it comes preinstalled on all Max2Play. You can start from the Kodi tab.

What are the parameters you added for HW volume control in the Squeezelite advanced settings?

    5. Februar 2018 at 13:49 #33853

You can use the image burner plugin to create a back-up -img file of your current Max2Play and just burn it again if you get stuck somewhere 😉

    Hi ofarim,

What version of the OLED is yours? As mentioned, you can check with our instructions. Did you try turning the one connector as is required for version 2?

    1. You need to connect the pins to boot the device without a power button. We do not recommend running the device without a power button.

    2. You can use the LMS web interface slider, Jivelite, your Squeezebox app of choice (Squeezer for Android) or another Squeezebox interface software (e.g. SoftSqueeze for Windows).

    Thanks for the feedback.

Indeed we are looking for a good solution to offer in terms of small display unit that does not impede on the GPIOs of the Pi.

Currently, we only offer the OLED for the I-Sabre V3.

Did you try using our current Stretch beta and the proper Jessie lite version of Max2Play?

    Hi kowi,

    Hi Ofer,

Please make sure your version of the OLED display is connected accordingly as the version 2 needs to have one connector reversed (pictured in the assembly instructions).

Please update to the latest beta of Max2Play (under „Settings/Reboot“ klick „beta update“).

This display and its drivers have had a recent update to make the time display dynamic, there is a discussion on this subject in German (you can use google translate).

    Hi macpac,

If you have a Squeezebox Server running, do you not use shairtunes2?

In any case, you have the same output for both players, so they cannot run simultaneously. Try selecting default_hifiberry for one of them.

If there’s still no sound, select „none“ in HiFiBerry, reboot, reselect the light and reboot.

    Hi timb,

    – The apps and other controlling software of Squeezebox connects to the server for control. Make sure your NAS is connected to the same network and that both devices do not have any potential blocking software.

    – Try using the IP of your mount’s device instead of the name, also try adding a custom login if you have not yet.

    – If you have not yet, try using ethernet or change the position of your device in the WiFi network.

@sf: Thanks for the follow-up, let us know if you find anything else.

    @Jaca
: we have not experience with this software but we would recommend using the Jessie-based current image and the Plugin Builder for further guidance.

    Hi macpac,

The miniamp does not support hw volume controlso MPD does not have dynamic volume config.

But you need shairport as your player anyways if you prefer AirPlay. Just select „simple airplay“ in the HiFiBerry plugin, reboot and you should see max2play as an AirPlay device.

    Hi dd-gamer,

    Start Playing for this device:
    http://max2play:9000/status.html?p0=play&player=b8:27:eb:a6:f6:32

    Pause for this device:

    – Should not be an issue, Kodi comes free and preinstalled on our image, you can test it out now.
    – Not sure I understand, it is ideal to have all players and the server connected via LAN but WiFi works too.
    – Our core features are free as well as the image download for the Premium Plugins you get a 1 month trial license in our shop.

    Hi kowi,

    Hi alex,

I assume the HD is connected to the Pi. Then you make it a SambaShare.

    Hi guys,

    Some updates:
    – We fixed shairtunes2 and Jivelite issue in our newest beta, a beta update should fix both.
    – Squeezebox Server currently works with the version 7.9 Nightly, not 7.9 proper.

    @sf:
Could you share the parameters of your mountpoint, tell us your NAS model and whether you had this issue with another version of Max2Play too?

    Hi teggenligger,

Thanks for the follow-up, glad you got it working. 🙂

    31. Januar 2018 at 12:16 #33769

What power supply are you using and what capacity are your speakers? These two factors might be an issue as well.

You can also try running a test playback with another OS to make sure the issue is not a hardware defect.

    31. Januar 2018 at 12:14 #33768

    Hi alex,

First of all thank you for the kind words. We appreciate the positive feedback 🙂

On your request, we built an image burner plugin that lets you create a backup of the whole Max2Play installation to burn as a new image.

However, for music and media files we recommend using an outside method. If you have your files connected via USB, you can make a SambaShare of the folder and back it up on another system most easily. If you have your media on a network share, the backup should be made from that share’s device.

I hope this answers your question but I am not entirely sure what part of your Max2Play system exactly you want to back up.

    Hi kowi,

Also grundsätzlich abzuraten.

Falls man doch drauf zugreifen will:

    – deactivate build-in audio, reboot
    – Kommandozeilenoptionen rausnehmen, speichern
    – Auswahl “plugequal”
    – Haken bei “Use Graphic Equalizer”

    Hi guys,

Thanks so much for the feedback! I will keep updating the first post with issues we were able to recreate and are looking into. I will also try to recreate all your issues and give feedback as soon as I can. 🙂

    Hi CaiPi,
