You could try running the system on ethernet if you have not yet to rule out WiFi as a source of error.
You can also adjust the settings of the LMS to see if this changes the output quality. (Settings -> Advanced -> Spotty)

Did you use the write-only plugin? It should work with WiFi. It does not work with plugins that continously access and write on the SD card like the Squeezebox Server.

A) Not particularly, it is first and foremost an option for users who want to switch between players and do not want the LMS running in their system.
B) That depends on a lot of factors. Both solutions run really well in our testing thus far. Both are based on librespot. If you just want to use one device, the Spotify Connect player might be preferable. However, for most users with multiroom ambitions we recommend the Spotty plugin.

Our Stretch Image is now officially out of beta!
Thank you to everyone who helped in reporting bugs, requesting features, etc.
I spent all day yesterday and today testing all our plugins and features with this new Max2Play and it runs really smooth and fast.
I recommend everyone check it out if you get the chance.
Obviously, all previous versions of Max2Play will continue to work with all their features.
However, new developments will be restricted to this new Image from now on.

Es gab eine Änderung bei der Installation der LMS 7.9 nightly. Entweder mache ein beta update um diese zu erhalten und installiere dann den server erneut oder installiere version 7.9.

Die Systematik hinter der Stromversorgung ist leider etwas komplexer und Verteiler können dabei ein Faktor sein genauso wie Altbauverkabelungen.
Am Netzteil wird es hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit nicht liegen, da dies sehr simpel und für alle Pi-DAC und -Digi-Setups das gleiche ist.
Für einen kurzen Test der Funktionlität und um die Stromversorgung als Fehlerquelle ausschließen oder isolieren zu können, wäre der direkte Betrieb an einer Steckdose sehr hilfreich.
Wenn das System bei uns bezogen wurde, schick uns bitte eine Email mit der Bestellnummer und Link zu diesem Topic und wir können weitere Schritte einleiten.

Please try installing version 7.9, not version 7.9 nightly. If it still does not install correctly, please head to the Settings/Reboot menu, make a beta update and try installing the 7.9 nightly again.

Please try using our legacy version image for PI 1+2 to make sure this issue is not a general one with your Pi.

Booting to the desktop is our default mode, this way our applications like Jivelite or Kodi can start right away.
If you want to disable this, you need to do it manually. However, having the console on after boot does not add or change any features for Max2Play.

Wir arbeiten aktuell an einem Plugin für allgemeine Steuerelemente womit man ein Eingabegerät konfigurieren kann. Dies ist jedoch aktuell ein wenig in den Hintergrund gerückt dank des neuen RPi3B+ und dessen neuen Kernels, welchen wir aktuell für Max2Play flott machen.
Aktuell gibt es jedoch mit dem JustBoom Plugin bereits einen Install-Button um direkt IR-Control zu ermöglichen für ein Programm deiner Wahl. Auch wenn dies nur im JustBoom Plugin ist, sollte es bei der richtigen Konfiguration auch mit anderen Soundkarten direkt funktionieren.
