    Hi lpnb,

The Sparky Board version of Max2Play is maintained by Allo themselves. You can contact them for technical support here.

    Hi Mike,

You can use a burner app on your PC to make a .img file of your SD. You can also save settings in some Max2Play plugins (e.g. Squeezebox Server) to a file.

    Hi m2puser,

With apps like AllConnect, you can select the browser for playback. There, you have the option to select Youtube. In Youtube, you can play a video and the sound will go through the dlna player selected in AllConnect.

Okay, so the installation is definitely faulty in some way. If you have a backup, please try burning that. If you are okay with a fresh image, I would recommend you burn one from our website’s image download. Just in case, you can make another backup of your existing image.

    Hi Mike,

Please resetting your sound card selection (none->save->reboot->select->save->reboot) and tell me which parameters you have in Sqlite’s advanced settings.

    Hi Raymond,

I mean the debug info or the boot sequence, if there are any irregularities. In general, you can also try running a fresh image to see if the issue is connected to your setup or more general.

    29. November 2018 at 16:35 #42418

    Hi Josh,

We’ll test these two features on a device here and let you know whether we can recreate the issue. Could point out any specialties about your setup? By no audio through openhab you mean by creating an applet in openhab for playback, it doesn’t respond to the commands you enter?

Regarding the license, send us a mail with a reference to this thread and I’ll create another 1-month license for you.
edit: we already added a possible fix in the newest beta of openhab, try deinstalling and reinstalling in beta.

    Hi Spartan,

You can test the ordinary HiFiBerry DAC driver as a selection. This should get you playback without hw control.

    Hi lew-hand,

Please double-check your device-ID and try entering it again.

    Hi Jim,

    Hi Spartan,

Thanks for the feedback. We will try to find a better solution for the BeoCreate integration.

    Hi Raymond,

Have you tried a different PSU or power outlet to rule out this possible source of error?

Also did you have a error message logged?

    27. November 2018 at 11:54 #42292

    Hi Josh,

Yes, try deactivating WiFi and running on ethernet if you are not already. Both share the same module for comms and BT is more accessible when running via ethernet.

    27. November 2018 at 11:50 #42291

It might be that the BT module in your Pi is faulty. We have had this issue in of our test devices. If possible, you can try using a USB BT dongle to rule out a defect in the Pi as a source of error.

    Hi Weka,

So it is working now in that you can access the web interface? Have you tried entering „max2play/“ in your browser yet?

    26. November 2018 at 13:21 #42248

    Hi lewhand,

If it’s not too much hassle, please try downloading a new version of Max2Play and burning it to check whether your issue is an individual one. We tested the installer here with a fresh image and it worked out of the box.

You can make an image backup beforehand for safety.

    Hallo hugo,

    23. November 2018 at 15:22 #42211

    Hi Spartan,

Please try the CX profile and check whether your issue persists.

    23. November 2018 at 10:42 #42210

    Hi lew-hand,

Just click install again and the installer will overwrite the existing install.

we added a beta solution for the keymappings in our justboom plugin. You can try it out by making a beta update or downloading the justboom plugin in beta version.

    Hi lew-hand,

When did you install the plugin and which Pi are you using?

Please try installing the plugin again.

    20. November 2018 at 17:56 #42186

Yes, we have observed this, too. That’s why we recommend going for a 2.5A PSU at minimum and generally inform our customers about the up- and downsides of the new 3B+ in our blog post

    Hi Marc,

Here’s the discussion for the BeoCreate. Have you checked these points yet?

    20. November 2018 at 17:25 #42179

    Hi bjones,

Our current version of Bluetooth uses bluealsa as opposed to pusleaudio since we continued having problems with the latter and bluealsa improved both performance and stability. You can check out bluealsa’s documentation here to perhaps find a solution for your problem.

    Hi Hisma,

We already included the correct library, the output error comes up because we have an install command for both version in case somebody before Stretch is using it. However, we are fixing the faulty install sequence output. While it does not impede on the installation (your error might have been connected to the Raspberry servers, try installing again when it doesn’t start), it does confuse people as to whether the process was successful.

    Hi Berlinmalte,

Use „sudo su“ when in SSH to get root rights.

Regarding the „fix“, we cannot change ports for this as it would create dependencies for other services. Since it is an easy fix for people wanting to add Pi-Hole, we suggest manually doing if you want to follow yonesmit’s instructions.
