Hi iansr,
Path is the path the folder with your files is in. So you type the „IP address or name of your server“/music/FLAC
Mountpoint is the path where your squeezebox server or other extensions can reach your folder, you can just use the example /mnt/share
cifs is the typical network share for Windows systems and nfs typical for Linux. So use the former, usually.
Then in the options you can also copy and paste the example and then change the name and password to the name and password of your network share.30. September 2015 at 14:44 #15904Hi tomster,
September 2015 at 17:35 #15887Please see your other thread for your first request.
Regarding the screensaver, again, this is a Jivelite issue which we are currently looking into. For now, however, we recommend changing the settings on the screensaver in Jivelite, so it does not go into it so quickly.29. September 2015 at 17:33 #15886Hi Raymond,
This feature is in Jivelite, whose properties we have not changed. It would be a lot of work for us to incorporate this feature. We are researching on it, but we cannot guarantee to offer it in the near future.29. September 2015 at 17:31 #15885Hi kanyi,
Unfortunately, the Raspi 1A does not have the network connection necessary for Max2Play. Which is why it cannot establish the apache server. Please try to use a Raspberry Pi with a LAN connection for Max2Play.29. September 2015 at 16:08 #15883Yep, we are happy you enjoy our image. We also cannot understand why this great system is not pushed more by its creators.
29. September 2015 at 15:44 #15882Unfortunately, we do not have any experience with this certain sound card. So we cannot guarantee, that it will work perfectly with Max2Play. Our Squeezebox Player, Squeezelite and Kodi cannot run simultaneously. When you start Kodi, Squeezelite is automatically stopped and starts up again, when you close Kodi.
28. September 2015 at 16:55 #15871Hi itjensen,
Same problem was discussed in another topic: https://www.max2play.com/forums/topic/cant-play-alac-2496/
Which Raspberry are you using?22. September 2015 at 16:53 #15772The update capability is currently only working on the Max2Play Odroid Images. Sorry for the misunderstanding. When we have implemented Kodi 15.1 for Raspberry Pi, we will announce it.
22. September 2015 at 15:12 #15770We’re sorry, but your sound card is unfortunately not supported yet.
22. September 2015 at 15:11 #15769Hi Sciamano,
First to make sure you can get video playback, please try playing a youtube video. You can also check if a normal HD video file will play to find out if your format was the problem. Here is a good example video: http://distribution.bbb3d.renderfarming.net/video/mp4/bbb_sunflower_1080p_30fps_normal.mp4
It could also be because your videos are mpeg-2 which needs a license key for Raspberry Pi’s. You can activate it in the Raspberry Settings.22. September 2015 at 15:03 #15768Hi Markus,
September 2015 at 17:24 #15763Hi mykkah,
That’s a good idea! Please tell us in detail how you currently clear the cache and what you would want from the implementation in Max2Play so we can consider your steps and wishes for our solution.21. September 2015 at 15:30 #15757It seems like your Windows 10 PC is causing those problems. Did the crashes ever happen when this PC was not active in your network?
21. September 2015 at 15:26 #15756Hi waterdrinkingman,
You can update your version of Kodi in the Webinterface-tab „Kodi“ under the section „Kodi / XBMC start installation – Replaces current Version…“. Just paste the URL for the Kodi installation you desire (must be the .deb package link) and click on „Kodi/XBMC start installation“21. September 2015 at 15:21 #15755Hi Blackhawk,
Have you ticked „Load WiFi Interface“ and made sure that the LAN cable was disconnected when booting? Otherwise the system might prioritize the LAN connection. Also have you tried accessing the interface by typing in the IP address of your Max2Play device?21. September 2015 at 15:15 #15754With iTunes, this should work. With iPhone, iPad, etc. usually not. Good luck!
21. September 2015 at 14:41 #15753Hi donald,
Thanks for enjoying Max2Play! Your desired scenario is possible. You can install the plugin shairtunes for the Squeezebox Server and then have your Squeezelite set up for Airplay. You can also use more than one instance of Squeezelite with the premium plugin Multisqueeze and feed both sound cards with one instance.21. September 2015 at 14:18 #15752Hi bobertuk,
The image for XU4 is still pretty new and we are still working out some bugs. We will check your error and try to bring out a fix as soon as possible which you can implement by updating to the newest beta.21. September 2015 at 13:44 #15751Hi Raymond,
Great that you got the system to work! You can also run multiple instances of Squeezelite with our premium plugin „Multisqueeze“. There you can choose one input HDMI and one for your USB sound card.18. September 2015 at 14:45 #15731Hi bobertuk,
How did you try to upgrade? Because the way you described in your second post is the only way you should be able to on the Max2Play Webinterface. The „alternative other source“-option is for people like you who like to try the newest version as soon as possible. In the drop-down menu we have the most stable versions running on Max2Play listed as options.18. September 2015 at 14:13 #15728Please try changing the port for Kodi. Your system might be using it already for something else. Go to Settings > Network > Services and change the port. Then try accessing via this port from your smartphone remote app.
16. September 2015 at 17:00 #15710It seems in your log, that your WiFi-Stick is causing the problem („Withdrawing address record for 192.168.0.104 on wlan0.“). Please try using a LAN cable connection to be sure. If you still want to use Airplay , please install the plugin shairtunes2 for the Squeezebox Server to use it for AirPlay.
16. September 2015 at 16:56 #15709Hey jademonkee,
Please try burning a new image and disable overscan in the HDMI settings on the tab „Raspberry Settings“.16. September 2015 at 16:48 #15708Hi jademonkee,
Thanks for informing us about this problem with the IQaudio card. Regarding your question on sysdefault and default; sysdefault is in there in case you need more system rights to run the card. There is no other fundamental difference in the two.
Regarding your volume problem, we changed the settings for the IQaudio DAC+ in the Raspberry Settings, so if you update to beta on an new system and directly choose the IQaudio DAC+, the volume will be tuned perfectly. You can also use the sliders in Raspi Settings to make it louder.15. September 2015 at 16:54 #15685Thanks for the information. Back when we first set up the Clementine installer, there were Ubuntu packages available for it, just Debian. We will look into it and if need be, adjust the installer.
15. September 2015 at 14:34 #15678Hi jademonkee,
Usually, every memory is recognized automatically if connect at the start of the device. You can then access the filesystem through the path /media/usb. You can find details on that explanation on the „Filesystem Mount“ tab in the Max2Play web interface.
The Kodi settings are at /home/pi/.kodi on the Raspberry and /home/odroid/.kodi on the ODROIDs. To edit or save you can create a Samba share at /home/pi. With that, any pc in the network can access this folder.
Details on Samba shares can also be found under the Filesystem Mount tab in the web interface.14. September 2015 at 16:59 #15670Hi waterdrinkingman,
Yes, unfortunately your sound card does not seem to be properly detected by the system.14. September 2015 at 16:17 #15669Du you use Shairport and Squeezelite at the same time, and if so, do you use a I2S sound card? If you tick off the autostart on Squeezelite, it might solve your problem. Please also make sure have expanded the filesystem beforehand so you have more than 50 percent of your system free memory.
