    Hi AndrLee,
Sorry about your issues, the setup is usually not as complicated but thanks for sharing the correct mounting options for your FreeNAS. I would, however, like to point out that WiFi and all features of the WiFi/LAN plugin (and the Filesystem/Mount, Audio Player, Squeezebox Server and Kodi) are completely free and do not require a premium license.

Have you tried the button „Show Network Devices“ yet? It should give you the option of mounting a path with the click of a button („set path“) once it has found your share.
Also, I made a video on the Filesystem/Mount plugin that might help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5B1GVJJGG4

    Hi xkeliff,
I am not sure what your issue is. I tested your email and its is an active premium license that worked with our test device. Have you followed the same steps I detailed above that fixed Sebastien’s issue? They should work for you as well.

This is unfortunately an issue with your TV that we cannot diagnose for you. It might be due to the mode of your TV or its configurations. Maybe contact your TV’s support channel?

@wouthermans: Please try typing in the IP address of your Pi (should be displayed in your router’s web interface) in the URL bar instead. Then try renaming your device in Settings/Reboot.

    @Gerstel
: Usually the router should recognize the confusion and assign the new Pi with a new IP address. Have you since rebooted the Pi or observed any changes? Is it in fact possible that there is a conflict, however this is usually resolved by the router which assigns a new IP address to the new device.

    Hi Sebastien,
We have different systems for the Shop and the Website that do not allow us to completely connect both accounts. However, the linking of both should have worked since you now show up as a premium member in our forums. Please try the same steps std did to activate your device’s premium features:
Delete the license, click „save“, reenter the license, click „save“. I just tested your email and got it activated on a test device, so it should work.

    Hi Ole,
Please try renaming the device. This also changes the name under which the Squeezelite player is recognised in your Squeezebox Server. Also, which version of the Server have you installed? We recommend 7.9 nightly.

    9. November 2016 at 16:00 #23833

The increase of the output current is recommended when using a USB DAC. However, the overclocking is not.

    Hi jnile1,
Are you using an App to access the SBS via Android or do you use the web interface of the server? Either way, please try the other if you have not yet. It should be an issue of the app if the search is still possible from the web interface of the server, thus you might want to try out a different app (there are tons of free ones out there).

    Hi AndrLee,
Just try leaving the space for the login id unchanged and fill in the other parameters accordingly for your NAS. The share should be recognized either way.

    Hi marioir,
Unfortunately, there is currently no plugin for the Squeezebox Server to support Amazon Prime. People are constantly requesting it from Amazon, but they are not that keen on supporting third-party open-source solutions. However, there is a work around to play your Prime music under Max2Play’s new Bluetooth plugin (beta updated)! You can now couple your phone or tablet with a Pi and then create a „radio channel“ in the Squeezebox Server that play the output of this Bluetooth device. This way, you can feed your phone or tablet’s Amazon Prime music playback to all your Squeezebox players through the server’s channel.
The steps to make this happen are very easy and are explained in the Bluetooth plugin’s description. Check it out!

    Hi Bernd and Guillame,
Sorry for the late response. Unfortunately, these issues are due to some correspondences between the Pi’s OS and the gmediarender player changing. We are looking into these issues but in the meantime I would recommend using the Squeezebox system instead. It includes a plugin that makes all Squeezelite players DLNA compatible from the first start of the Squeezebox Server (version 7.9 nightly). This way, you can continue using BubbleUPnP for your Pi.

    Hi Gerstel,
Since you have a Pi3 and a Fritz.Box you might want to try the WPS feature. Just boot the Pi and simultaneously activate the WPS on your Fritz.Box.
Of course, if you want a LAN-connection, that should usually work easily, too. All your steps seem correct and the LAN port blinking also indicates an active connection.
Have you updated the system to 2.37? Have you tried typing http://max2play/ into some devices connected to your local network?

    7. November 2016 at 17:48 #23753

    Hi BigFloh,
We do not offer a deinstallation of the Squeezebox Server due to the changes in the system after installation. We recommend instead burning a fresh image. However, the deactivated autostart of your Server should in fact prohibit any automatic start of it. Please try deactivating all autostart’s to see if this changes your issue.

    Hi pettefar,
Squeezelite, like the whole audioplayer plugin, the Squeezebox Server installer, Kodi, WiFi/LAN and Filesystem/Mount are all completely free. Here is a walkthrough video I did of the web interface to clear up some of the confusion.

    7. November 2016 at 17:39 #23751

    Hi lynoo,
You can just connect the USB sound card and it should show up as an additional audio output in your advanced info’s sound card selection of Squeezelite and Shairport. We have successfully tested the LogiLink 7.1 card and the XFi by Creative, but generally most cards should work with the driver. Regarding Jivelite, it is just the graphic interface for your Squeezelite player, so depending on which output you select, the music will play through the corresponding device. You can add another instance of Squeezelite with the MultiSqueeze plugin to run both USB sound card and digipi+ simultaneously.

    Hi jemhayward,
We were able to find this issue and fixed it in a beta update which you can already activate. It will be included in our next official update. When you do the beta update, just install the shairtunes2 plugin again afterwards, reboot and the plugin should show up active in your LMS settings.

    7. November 2016 at 17:11 #23749

    Hi Sven,
Do you use the RPi3? If so, try using the WPS feature (if your router supports it). Also, please make sure the option „load WiFi interface“ is ticked and that your WiFi is active and has received an IP address. Finally, while the version of Max2Play is a little older, the basic steps are still the same on the youtube video I did on the plugin.

    Hi Webkemmi,
Thanks for posting here and thanks for buying our premium license. I just made a fresh install and retraced your steps. We were then able to find the issue and fixed it in a beta update which you can already activate. It will then be included in our next official update. When you do the beta update, just install the shairtunes2 plugin again afterwards, reboot and the plugin should show up active in your LMS settings.

Your referenced picture is from the „HD Grid Skin“. This skin has a resolution of 1920×1080 and is thus not suited for your display. However, you can use the skin on most desktop displays.
Regarding Aleks‘ request, the path for Jivelite skins is /opt/jivelite/jivelite/share/jive/applets/. There you can add new skins.

    Hi guys,
Sorry for the late response, we had to do some testing before giving you good news.
The Bluetooth Plugin now also works with smartphones, tablets, etc. to stream music from. The input from the bluetooth device is received by the Pulse Audioserver and streamed to the next audio device the server grabs (usually the 3.5mm jack).
If you use a sound card, you still need to select the Pulse Audioserver as the output device in Squeezelite, but you also have to „deactivate the integrated audio on Pi3“ in the Raspberry Setttings to make sure that the audio jack is not used as the output device.
Also, if you are using a screen, make sure to remove the tick on „Autostart Desktop“ under Settings/Reboot, otherwise two conflicting instances of the X Server might be started.

    26. Oktober 2016 at 15:42 #23579

    Hi Gino,
Quick update, the Bluetooth Plugin actually also works with smartphones to couple for input. Just pair the device you want to play music from and the Pulse Audioserver will play the stream to your next audio device (usually the 3.5mm jack).

    Hi Teetertank,
You are correct in your assumption. 8 gb emmc’s are already expanded. The process is only necessary for emmc’s of bigger sizes.

Regarding the mounting issue, this was in fact a bug caused by an Ubuntu update. We managed to fix it with a beta update. So you just need to click on the Beta-Update button under the Settings/Reboot menu in our web interface and your USB drives should be able to mount again.

    Hi Bernd,
I’ll answer you in English to benefit the rest of the community. Your question, whether you can use BubbleUPnP to play music from your smartphone to your sound card (HiFiBerry), is easily answered: definitely yes.
You can use the simple player „gmediarender“ in the Audioplayer menu on our web interface. It shows up as a simple DLNA renderer in BubbleUPnP on your phone. In the Audioplayer menu, you can select the sound card for output in the advanced settings.
The more elegant option is to use the Squeezelite player under the Squeezebox Server. The server has a plugin to make all your Squeezelite players DLNA compatible, to make them show up on your BubbleUPnP as well! The same principle applies to the sound card output; the advanced options of the player menu let you select the audio output and once you have activated your sound card, the default_hifiberry_amp option will show up.

    21. Oktober 2016 at 15:03 #23512

    Hi Gino,
You can currently stream music from your smartphone to the Squeezebox player Squeezelite through DLNA (Apps like BubbleUPnP). You can also use AirPlay with Shairport or the shairtunes2 plugin. There are also many dedicated Squeezebox Apps out there (Squeezer, iPeng). This is why we are currently not focussing on an option to play via bluetooth and instead built a plugin that can couple your Pi with a BT speaker to use as an additional player output.

    20. Oktober 2016 at 15:55 #23482

That should be correct and you should have a sound output. The sound output option in the Raspberry Settings (Force HDMI, etc.) is only for those options, HDMI and audio jack, it does not interfere with the Amp+.
What power supply are you using and have you tested different passive speakers?

    20. Oktober 2016 at 15:28 #23479

If you do not have an amplifying unit, the Amp+ would make a lot of sense since it does not require any additional amplification. You can just connect your passive speakers directly. According to HiFiBerry, the Amp+ works best with speakers of 4-8 ohms, so perfect for yours.

    Hi lucky and sirsmu,
I made a wiki article to illustrate the different functions of the different buttons on the Jivelite interface. Here it is:

    Hi vincent,
In your Squeezelite under „edit Advanced Options“, what parameter is selected at the „Soundcard“ dropdown menu?
