Hi Brrutherb,
Please take a look at our Getting Started Guide for basic guidelines on setting up Max2Play: https://www.max2play.com/en/getting-started/
Also, check out our Wiki for more specific help: https://www.max2play.com/en/wikiIf you cannot access the web interface, please check your router’s web interface to find the IP and name of the Max2Play device or directly access it from there.
14. Dezember 2016 at 14:35 #24872As mentioned on the slimdevices forums, please try out the hardware volume control tweak detailed in this wiki: https://www.max2play.com/en/wiki/optimizing-squeezelites-volume-control/
13. Dezember 2016 at 18:08 #24837Hi Hilary,
Sorry about the late response. In the upper left corner of the Squeezebox Server’s web interface, do you see a player by the name of „Max2Play“ or your chosen name for the RPi2 you are running Squeezelite on? This needs to be selected in order for the playback to work.12. Dezember 2016 at 17:32 #24799Hi std,
You can use any Squeezebox App (Android or iOS) on any smartphone or tablet, Jivelite, dedicated Windows software, or any other program that utilizes the Squeezebox API to synchronize and control your Squeezelite players.7. Dezember 2016 at 17:32 #24652Please check out the voice control plugin for automated http-commands for Kodi, Squeezebox Server, etc.
https://www.max2play.com/en/portfolio/plugin-speech-control/7. Dezember 2016 at 17:30 #24651Hi Rene,
I just tested it and it worked fine on a test device. The first few lines of the yellow text should read:
Installationspaket: kodiupgradepi
Installation gestartet – Diese Meldung zeigt den aktuellen Status der Installation aller 3 Sekunden an. Wenn diese abgeschlossen ist verschwindet die Meldung und der Server läuft. The package should not have a http://-prefix. Once you clicked the button, the installation starts automatically and the fetching of the data is refreshed every 3 seconds.
7. Dezember 2016 at 17:21 #24648Hi lynoo,
The Logitech Media Server only supports DSD files on the version 7.9 (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?101641-LMS-7-9-and-DSD). So you can either try to update your LMS on the NAS or install the 7.9 nightly on the RPi3 and migrate your files from the NAs with a SambaShare.7. Dezember 2016 at 17:13 #24646Hi seld,
What configurations are selected in your RPi Display plugin in the Max2Play web interface?7. Dezember 2016 at 17:10 #24645Hi std,
We recommend using just one Server in every Squeezebox environment. You can select each player and change their binding to a specific server in the server interface (big blue button in the Squeezebox Server plugin tab of Max2Play). There, on the upper right corner, you can see a dropdown menu that lists all players and the server they are connected to.7. Dezember 2016 at 17:07 #24644Hi alex,
The homematic plugin is for people using homematic, a German home automation software. The fritzbox can complement this system by checking whether people are active in the home environment. You can check out the initial topic for Max2Play and homematic on the homematic forums: http://homematic-forum.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=22860 (google translate to English).7. Dezember 2016 at 15:59 #24633Hi tyler,
I just tested this on a RPi3 with M2P image without issues. Please check whether you selected the version 7.9 nightly and please try stopping the server before rebooting the device.7. Dezember 2016 at 15:28 #24632Hi formicula,
I just tested the installation of the access point plugin with a RPi3 M2P 2.38 successfully. However, our servers had some issues in the last days, so you might want to try it again. Also, just in case, please try leaving out the „quotation marks“ if you had them in your copy pasted text.7. Dezember 2016 at 15:16 #24631If your filesystem was already expanded and your sd card is still as full as indicated by the debug info, you might consider deleting some contents you added since the image itself should only fill out ca. 60 per cent even without expanding the filesystem which should half the space occupied to about 30 per cent.
If you cannot or do not want to delete any new files from your sd card, you might want to consider buying a bigger one and transferring the image if you want to continue with this installation of Max2Play (using the image burner plugin).7. Dezember 2016 at 14:59 #24629Hi malte,
Have you already enabled max USB current in the Raspberry Settings? If not, please do, this might help you out.7. Dezember 2016 at 14:52 #24627Hi tyler,
The Logitech Media Server is supposed be installed only once in a multiroom environment. The idea of the Squeezebox system is such, that you have one central server (LMS) to control all your players (Squeezelite). The Squeezelite players are always connected to only one server since the server handles the playback. Thus, it is also only possible to sync multiple players on one server, since the server has all the information and control for the players. Here is a picture that details the relationship: https://www.max2play.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/max2play_squeezebox-server_concept_-950×720.png
Basically, you only need one LMS and should only have one installed. The players then all show up in the interface with their different names and you easily control them. There really is no advantage to multiple LMS running in the same environment; the Raspberry Pi’s were built to be able to run continuously without powering them down, do not require any significant amount of power (running it through a whole year without interruption would still cost less than 2€) and do not go down easily.1. Dezember 2016 at 15:48 #24464Hi guys,
Some good news are on the way. We have been working with the guys from Audiophonics and will soon start offering solutions combined with Max2Play. More details are on the way and next week we will have new products in our shop. The Sabre DAC V3 will take center stage and we will also start offering a complete solution with a great case. Stay tuned!
The Sabre is already available as a selection in the Raspberry Settings in our current beta update.1. Dezember 2016 at 14:53 #24462Hi Rainer,
Sorry about the late response!
Please try out this tweak: https://www.max2play.com/en/wiki/optimizing-squeezelites-volume-control/1. Dezember 2016 at 14:49 #24460Hi guys,
Here is a topic in the Raspberry forums that discusses such a use case: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=25778&start=125
However, you can simply use apps like Squeezer or iPeng, or a http-request (check the beta voice control plugin for some default commands).1. Dezember 2016 at 14:45 #24459Hi fblu,

Which audio player do you use? Also, please check whether you have autostart disabled.1. Dezember 2016 at 14:33 #24454Hi pistollero,
Could you share the debug info of your audio player?1. Dezember 2016 at 14:16 #24446– No, unfortunately the most detailed info on the JustBoom Amp HAT is this assembly manual and the product description: https://www.justboom.co/start/set-up-justboom-amp-hat-and-case/
– Both channels automatically play from the same input.
– Not sure what you mean by that, from context the SW would refer to software volume -> mute/unmute1. Dezember 2016 at 14:06 #24444We do not recommend updating the system outside of the Max2Play web interface.
1. Dezember 2016 at 14:02 #24443Hi Jonathan,
You can find the Jivelite skins path here: https://www.max2play.com/forums/topic/oberflaechenanpassung-jivelite/#post-236271. Dezember 2016 at 14:00 #24441Hi paparoacho,
Have you rebooted the device afterwards and checked whether its saved now? Also if you have not yet, please update Max2Play to the newest version. I just tested it with a new image and it worked fine.1. Dezember 2016 at 13:56 #24440Hi LeZandre,
The custom skin that can be installed from the web interface for 2,8 adafruit is 320×240. However, you can add other skins in Jivelite, here I mention the path: https://www.max2play.com/forums/topic/oberflaechenanpassung-jivelite/#post-236271. Dezember 2016 at 13:37 #24436Hi Bull,
The system should generally automatically detect and use the right channel. Please try using a freshly burnt image and connecting to the network normally via the web interface using the scan feature.1. Dezember 2016 at 13:32 #24435Hi superpat,
We used this one for testing: https://www.adafruit.com/product/16011. Dezember 2016 at 13:24 #24434Hi holzwurm83,
Unfortunately we do not have any experience with multiple HAT sound cards connected to one Pi. Since the Pi 3 is so affordable and at the same time versatile, we recommend using individual Pi’s for each sound card to ensure the optimal configuration and control for each. You might encounter issues with the recognition of multiple HAT cards on the same Pi.
Regarding the JustBoom hardware, they might be the solution you are looking for; their structure is built around combining multiple sound cards of theirs on one Pi. Here is a graphic showing the possible combinations of JustBoom sound cards: https://www.justboom.co/product-guide/ -
