Sorry about the late response. The selection USB DAC activates the default USB sound card driver RPi. You can make sure that the correct driver is selected by checking the advanced options of your player of choice. There, you can also make a tick at „Use USB DAC“ and click „save“.
Sorry about the late response. If you are using the device for the LMS, you might want to check out our feature for delayed start on boot (it’s in the Squeezebox Server menu). This results in the server starting delayed and thus scanning and indexing the files later when your NAS is ready.
Sorry about the late response. Your proposed setup should indeed work fine. The server should be able to access, control and stream music to any squeeze player in your local network. Have you tried the Duet on another LMS to rule it out as the source of error?

Regarding your radio issues: In the LMS you can also directly load the URL of your preferred radio station. Have you tested this yet?
Regarding your power supply: As you mentioned, HiFiBerry recommends this power supply. Thus, you should not experience any problems, it just cannot deliver as much power as the supplies we recommend. This can be a problem with larger passive speakers and high volume but should not be an issue otherwise.

The indicator that the upper right corner is empty instead of showing a Max2Play player means that the Squeezelite player in the Audioplayer menu is inactive. Please check whether Squeezelite is running in the web interface.

Sorry about the late response. You might try to recompile the playlists in the Squeezebox Server’s web interface settings (lower right corner). Regarding specific file format issues, you might want to check out the slimdevices forums, there is a lot of discussion on that.
Then issue has to be either with the Squeezelite player if you can really still produce sound output via MPD. Again, please make sure that MPD is not still running, if you remove it from your menu without shutting it down first, it might still be running in the background.

Yep, the fix is the same as with IQaudIO cards: You need to deactivate the built-in audio of the Pi in the Raspberry Settings: https://www.max2play.com/en/wiki/sound-card-output-with-kodi/
This way, the Digi+ output is bumped up into the Kodi selection under the aforementioned settings page of Kodi.
Sure, using SSH, you can find the config files for any software. However, depending on your level of customization, the effort might not be worth it with the web interface’s config being very simple and quickly done.
Also, I just tested it and the upgrade Kodi to latest version button now lets you update Kodi to version 16.1-3

The current default Kodi version on our images is 15.2-2.
Maybe you still have a wheezy-based image. We upgraded to jessie lite some months ago. Please try burning a new image to get a newer version of Kodi from the first boot.

We recommend only ever installing the 7.9 nightly version of the Squeezebox Server. It is the one most compatible with our images as indicated in the web interface menu for the Squeezebox Server installation.
