8. Mai 2018 at 21:02 #35602Good day,
unfortunately the setup still does not work.
I connected via LAN but my Wifi does not show up in the selection, other Wifi do.
I did reset, updated, tried various ways, my Wifi is still not showing up.

3. Mai 2018 at 14:29 #35513Good day and thank you for your reply.
It still does not work, which is strange because all I changed is the router (same model) and I updated max2play to 2.45.
This is what I did:
– Connected to max2play via the network “max2play” – all fine
– tried to change the Wifi-network, but it did not show up in the selection although it is the strongest network in the area. Many other networks do show up
– tried to connect by typing name and password of the Wifi-network
– placed the RPi 3 next to the router
– tried WPS several times
– Installed a previous version of max2playIt is all fine, when I connect to the max2play-wifi, it just won’t find my wifi-network.
My wifi is working fine with all other devices (iMac/PC/Android/iPad/iPhone/ etc.)
Regards
Hans
P.S.
It all worked fine before with exactly the same hardware. Nice multiroom-sound-system with two stereo-systems (RPi3/Hifiberry DAC) and two old Transistor Radios (RPi zero w/Hifiberry mini amp).- This reply was modified 6 years, 6 months ago by hans.
4. August 2017 at 7:50 #30408… just a quick response.
The access point is set up and visible on both iOS Devices („max2play“). All settings are made on the RPi Zero W as shown in the classic tutorial you mentioned above.
I will try to get an Android device to check.
Thank you
Hans
3. August 2017 at 13:53 #30379Good day,
I installed Kodi on my Raspberry Pi Zero W and the Access Point is showing up as „max2play“ on my iPhone 4 and my iPad Mini. Nevertheless it does not connect.
The iPhone (iPhone 4 / iOS 7.1.2) does ask for a password, is accepting the password but is not connecting. The wheel keeps spinning.
The iPad Mini (using iOS 9.3.5) is not even asking for the password. Just an ongoing spinning of the wheel.
Kodi itself is working and can be operated via an attached mouse.
I have no access to a Wifi-Network and using this solution standalone only.
Any hints on how to solve this?
Thank you!
Hans
6. Juli 2017 at 22:09 #29848Thank you for your feedback.
Unfortunately I am not a computer or programming expert. Thats why I am using max2play as a tool.
Is there any step by step guideline how to create a mono output on a hifiberry miniamp?
The discussions I am not able to follow.Thank you!

24. Juni 2017 at 21:06 #29707Thank you for the fast feedback!
I am using Spotify Family 1 (V3.0.0). I do see covers, the song starts without sound for about 15 seconds and jumps back to start.
Where do I find the „spotty“ plugin? It’s not part of the selection of the server.
Tidal acts basically the same. Covers OK, Playlists OK, songs start visually without sound and jump back to start after about 15 seconds.
Best regards
Hans
21. Juni 2017 at 22:46 #29669… solved:
Hifiberry DAC has to be selected.
I suggest to include Hifiberry Miniamp in the drop down menu to avoid future questions.
Besides that … all fine.
