Dear Builder Bad,
For the old Raspberry Pi B+ you need our Max2Play Wheezy Image. You can find it in the download section of the website beneath the standard image which you have taken. It is m2p_default_226_wps.img.
After you download it, you only need to take win32diskimager and burn it onto the sd-card. You don’t need to use diskpart. This will be done through the win32diskimager 🙂

1st: Expand the filesystem (without any devices attached at the raspberry pi)
2nd: Update M2P and enter your Max2Play-Premium license
3rd: Install the Squeezebox Server with the Version: Nightly 7.9 . It is the recommended version of Squeezebox Server. It could take a while. After the installation is finished you can see a blue button to open the Squeezebox webadministration.Now it should run without problems.

Yes that’s right. On the HifiBerry page no card is selected. Only on the Raspberry settings page, there is selected the Audiophonics I-Sabre-V3. And in the Audioplayer menu, you select in the advanced settings of Squeezelite – „sysdefault snd_hifiberry_dac“.

Ich gehe hier nacheinander auf deine Fragen ein:
zu 1.
Aus technischer Sicht kann die Premiumlizenz auf so vielen Max2Play-Geräten wie nötig aktiviert werden. Als ein digitales Produkt ist es mit jedem Max2Play-Image kompatibel. Allerdings ist Max2Play ein Communityprojekt. Mit jeder Lizenz, die Sie erwerben, leisten Sie einen Beitrag zu dessen Weiterentwicklung und dem Communitysupport.zu 2.
Das ist mit jeder AMP+ Soundkarte die wir Unterstützen möglich. Darunter zählen die IQaudIO DigiAMP+; HiFiBerry AMP+, Justboom AMP+ und viele mehr. Diese Soundkarten sind ein Verstärker und somit ist der Anschluss von passiven Lautsprechern ohne weiteres möglich.zu 3.
Das installieren des LMS auf einer Synologie (oder einer anderen NAS) ist möglich und auch kompatibel mit Max2Play.zu 4.
Max2Play ist ein Webinterface. Dieses kann, mit dem Browser, auch auf mobilen Geräten verwendet werden. Zusätzlich gibt es verschiedene Apps deren Funktionalität wir unterstützen. So z.B. iPeng (iPhone) und Squeezer (Android)zu 5.
Ja. Die Freigabe von Dateien ist mittels Sambashare z.B. möglich. Wo die Dateine liegen ist dabei egal, vermutlich auf der Synologie. Diese Dateien können via Dateisystem Freigabe auch mit dem Raspberry Pi wiedergegeben werden. Der Raspberry Pi verfügt darüber hinaus über einen HDMi Anschluss und kann damit auch an ein TV Gerät angeschlossen werden.zu 6.
Das ist aktuell nicht möglich. Es ist jedoch möglich mit dem Bluetooth Plugin, die Musik vom Handy zum Raspberry Pi (Output Gerät) zu streamen.zu 7.
Auch das ist möglich, ebenso mit dem Bluetooth Plugin, welches ich in 6. schon erwähnt habe.Ich empfehle dir aufjedenfall ein paar unserer Guides anzuschauen. Somit bekommst du schon einmal einen kleinen Einblick in die Möglichkeiten von Max2Play.

I will answer your questions one after the other:
1st.
From a technical perspective, the premium license can be activated on as many Max2Play devices as necessary. As a digital product, it is compatible with any Max2Play image. However, Max2Play is a community project. With each license you purchase, you contribute to its development and community support.2nd.
This is possible with any AMP + sound card we already support. These include the IQaudIO DigiAMP +; HiFiBerry AMP +, Justboom AMP + and many more. These sound cards are an amplifier and thus the connection of passive loudspeakers is easily possible.3rd.
Installing the LMS on a Synology (or other NAS) is possible and also compatible with Max2Play.4th.
Max2Play is a web interface. This can also be used on mobile devices with the browser. Additionally there are different apps whose functionality we support. E.g. IPeng (iPhone) and Squeezer (Android)5th.
Yes. The sharing of files is possible with Sambashare. Files from the Synologie also can be played with the Raspberry Pi via file system sharing. The Raspberry Pi also has an HDMi connection and can therefore also be connected to a TV set.6th.
This is currently not possible. It is however possible with the Bluetooth plugin, to stream the music from the mobile phone to the Raspberry Pi (output device).7th.

Normally you only need to choose the Sabre DAC under the Raspberry Settings.
Then you go into the audioplayer menu. Here you can find the advanced settings of squeezelite. There, like you already did, you choose the „sysdefault snd_hifiberry_dac“.Now the necessary settings are automatically accepted. If you want to enter a specific output device with „-o hw:0“ please note that normally „hw:0“ is the onboard chip of the Raspberry Pi. The onboard chip can also be disabling in the Raspberry settings. After disable the onboard sound please reboot your device. Now the Sabre DAC can be addressed with „-o hw: 0“.
However, the function „-V
“ is not possible here.

Your files will be not converted into wav. The description in this article say: Explicitly exclude native support of one or more codecs; known codecs: flac,pcm,mp3,ogg,aac,wma,alac,dsd (mad,mpg for specific mp3 codec)

Currently, there is no option. When installing a plug-in, different settings are made. I recommend you to burn a new image to the SD card and prepare your wished setup again.

Das ist zur Zeit noch nicht Bestandteil von Max2Play. Es gibt verschiedene URL Parameter die dazu führen, dass das Gerät herunterfährt. Diese Links findest du in unserem Wiki – URL Parameter
In diesem Forenbeitrag hat sich schon jemand mit dem RaspDAC auseinandergesetzt und dort versucht einen Power Button zum Funktionieren zu bringen. Vielleicht ist das für dich eine Unterstützung. Hier der Link zur Topic in unserem Forum:

This is currently not part of Max2Play. There are several URL parameters that cause the device to shutdown. These links can be found in our Wiki – URL parameter
In this forum contribution someone has already been concerned with the RaspDAC and tried to make a Power Button to work. Maybe this is a support for you. Here is the link to the topic in our forum:

Do you resize the filesystem? And update Max2Play to the current version?
Maybe your SD-Card memory is already full. Please check this in the DEBUG Information in the Settings menu.

In dem Menü wo du diese Funktion auswählen kannst, stehen auch schon 2 Beispiel die wir empfehlen. Die USB-Soundkarten – Creative X-Fi und die Logi-Link 7.1 .
Diese Funktion ist für die gleichzeitige Wiedergabe von Kodi und Squeezelite. Wichtig ist hierbei darauf zu achten, die Kommandozeilenparameter entsprechend anzupassen:
-o hw:1,0″ gesetzt werden und für Kodi/XBMC gibt es die Anleitung zur Nutzung von Passthrough und externer Soundkarte unter dem Reiter Kodi/XBMC

In the menu where you can select this function, there are already 2 example which we recommend. The USB sound cards – Creative X-Fi and the Logi-Link 7.1.
This function is for simultaneous playback of Kodi and Squeezelite. It is important to adjust the command line parameters accordingly:
-o hw: 1.0 „and for Kodi / XBMC there are the instructions for using Passthrough and external sound card under the tab Kodi / XBMC

Sorry for the late response.
We are not working on it at the moment. However, the functionality of Spotify Connect can be achieved using DLNA and Airplay. So it is also possible to Playback Spotify, with the Android Smartphone or an Apple device, over the Max2Play device.

Normalerweise gibt es zu einem emmc Modul einen Adapter welcher einer microSD Karte gleicht. Das ist der microSD emmc Adapter. Damit kannst du das emmc Modul an einen Stick oder Slot an deinem PC stecken.

welchen Edimax verwendest du? Wir haben bisher gute Erfahrungen mit den Edimax WLAN-Sticks gemacht. Falls du keine Wolfson Cirrus Logic Soundkarte verwendest, kannst du gerne ein Kernel-Upgrade durchführen.
Falls du vorher deine bisherigen Einstellungen speichern möchtest, kannst du gerne auch den Imageburner auf einer anderen SD-Karte installieren und dort dein jetziges Image als Backup darauf speichern. Wie das funktioniert, siehst du in diesem Blog-Artikel – Link zum Blog-Artikel

Which Edimax dongle do you use? We have good experiences with the Edimax wifi dongle. If you are not using a Wolfson Cirrus Logic sound card, you could upgrade the kernel.
If you want to save your previous settings, you can also install the ImageBurner on another SD card and save your current image as a backup to it. How this works, you can see in this blog article

The wifi settings can also be changed without a Max2Play premium license. Features that only work with premium license can not be changed after run out of the premium license. E.g. the premium plugins and the Raspberry Settings menu works only with a premium license.
Your own settings will be retained even after run out of the license.Best Regards

The ALLO sound card plugin is still a beta version. You can test the beta. However, functions may not work properly yet.

Please check the following:
– Is the SD card already full? You can check this in the menu Settings / Restart.
– Please check that it is not on the VNC viewer is. We use the TightVNC Viewer here.
If you can exclude all this, please go to the Raspberry settings and adjust your display resolution under the HDMI settings. Set a hook for HDMI Force Hotplug and select the HDMI mode.
Than reboot your device and try it again.

Bitte prüfe erst einmal ob deine emmc Modul noch genügend Speicherplatz zur Verfügung hat. Im Menü – Einstellungen/Neustart – kannst du in den DEBUG Informationen des Menüs sehen ob der Speicher vollständig belegt ist oder nicht. Zusätzlich sollte ein Hinweis im Max2Play Webinterface auftauchen, welches dir den Hinweis gibt, dass dein emmc Modul voll ist.
Wenn noch genügend Speicherplatz vorhanden ist, downloade bitte das Max2Play Odroid Image und führe dort, nach der Installation auf das emmc Modul, kein Update durch. Danach Teste den Squeezebox Server bitte erneut.

We can not ensure that all Bluetooth sticks work. Please check that the Bluetooth search mode is activated for the device you are looking for, and also let the Max2Play device search 2 or 3 times for the Bluetooth device.
If it not work please try another Bluetooth dongle. Maybe this will fix your problem. Here you will find our recommended Bluetooth stick:

To test it I recommend you to test it first on Squeezelite. There you can see in the DEBUG informations where a issue is occured.
Additionally check that you are logged in as root for the whole time – you have to be logged in as the same user for the whole time.And try to add this into the command line options of squeezelite, maybe this will help you

Versuch doch bitte einen der Lautsprecher direkt anzuschließen, z.B. an einen AMP oder einen DAC. Man sollte nur einen Bluetooth Player mit der selben Squeezebox nutzen, da das Ausgangssignal nicht synchron zu beiden Bluetooth Playern kommt. Da müsste manuell etwas umgestellt werden um synchronität zu erreichen. Wenn du einen der beiden Player direkt an einen DAC oder AMP anschließt sollte dein Problem behoben sein.

Please try to connect one of the loudspeakers directly, e.g. to an AMP or a DAC. You should only use one Bluetooth player with the same Squeezebox, because the output signal does not come synchronously to two Bluetooth player. Since manually something had to be converted to achieve synchronicity. If you connect one of the two players directly on a DAC or AMP your problem should be fixed.
