No IP address

My Raspberry Pi 3 with DAC was working fine until last week. Then the IP address was no longer active. I first tested the network connection, no problem there (plugged my laptop into the ethernet cable that ran to the Pi to test) . I thought maybe the Pi 3 add died and replaced it with a new one. Still not getting an IP address. I then downloaded and burned the May2Play image to a new SD card. Still no IP, so I cannot connect to the Pi and Max2Play. So network connection works, new Pi3, new SD card, but nothing works. I am a loss to think of anything else that could be causing this problems. Any ideas where to go from here???

I could really use some help here. Update on this problem: I have two Raspberry Pi 3 running Max2Play for several years. I need to add a third Pi running Max2Play. I have purchased both a Pi 3 and a Pi 5. I downloaded m2p_buster_rpi-v253.img.pdf and extracted the img file. Used Win32 Disk Imager or the Raspberry Pi imager to install the img file to the microSD-cards. Neither the Pi 3 nor Pi 5 board gets an IP address, so ‘max2play’ just gives the message ‘This site can’t be reached’. Both the Pi 3 and Pi 5 boots and gets an IP address when booted with a SD card with the Raspberry Pi OS. Another update: I downloaded the beta version (m2p_buster_rpi-v256.img) and Max2Play now works on the new Pi 3 but not on the Pi 5. Is the Pi 5 even supported? Summary…Pi 3 B works on v256 (listed as ‘beta’) but not on v253. Pi 5 does not work on either version of Max2Play.

Sadly there is no longer any support here at Max2Play. Everyone is leaving for something that works and is supported. By.
