    Hi everyone,
first of all thank you very much for this outstanding project.
I’ve setup 3 RasPi with Max2Play for streaming music via Airplay / Shairplay.
At the moment I’m only able to stream music from my iPhone via Airplay to a single Max2Play Player (e.g. only to the kitchen M2P).
But I can not select a second one for multiroom.
As soon as I chooce e.g. „living room“ the sound in the kitchen stops and music in the living room comes up.

My wife uses her own music library on her iPhone and streaming apps. So a music library on a squeezebox server is no option for her (otherwise: poor WAF-Value (woman acceptance factor) 😉 ).

What’s the smartest way to stream music via shairplay from the iPhone to multiplay max2play Raspis?
Even, if this needs another Raspi as first receiver that deploys the music via 3.5 mm Jack (or anything else) to a „master-stream-RasPi“.

    Hi imfrank,

Multiroom with Shairport is currently not possible without further ado. You could try updating Shairport manually to make it Airplay2 compatible and then synchronise the players: https://github.com/mikebrady/shairport-sync/blob/development/BUILDFORAP2.md Unfortunately, I cannot give you any guarantee that this will work. It is also explicitly mentioned that this is a limited version of Airplay 2.

You can also send your music to the Squeezebox server either via cable (input from a HiFiBerry DAC+ ADC) or Bluetooth.
