I had to install a new image (for all PIs) on my raspberry-pi3b+iqaudio+. Setting up the Squeezebox server did not work: I could choose nightly 8.3 or 8.4. but none could be installed: the message NO LMS…. always came. Trying manually to install a debian version of the server did not work either.
What to do?kind regards
BSalzber8. Dezember 2023 at 12:35 #52984Hello bsalzber,
I have a similar problem, see my post from today. There doesn’t seem to be any help on the forum, which is a shame. At least I don’t see an answer to your question, which was 2 weeks ago. Have you found a solution now?
Best regards tomtom33115. Dezember 2023 at 15:47 #52989I tried to add LMS to an existing player – it says no versions exist i.e. LMS selection is empty – can’t add it….
6. Mai 2024 at 19:08 #53182I had got Max2Play specifically for LMS for my Squeezeboxes. Now I had a problem and I had to reinstall my Raspberry Pi and is it really true that Max2Play no longer supports LMS?!
6. Mai 2024 at 22:55 #53183The latest max2play 2.58 update fixed the incompatibility with the last lms website changes.
Logitech finally started to end support for lms and lms had a slight rebrand to reflect that.
The website is now lyrion.org/lms-server-repository/
Max2play will need an update to reflect that change.6. Mai 2024 at 23:23 #53184For now if you SSH to your max2play device:
cd /opt/max2play
wget https://downloads.lms-community.org/LogitechMediaServer_v8.5.1/logitechmediaserver_8.5.1_all.deb
rm lms.deb
mv logitechmediaserver_8.5.1_all.deb lms.debThen in the max2play Web interface just pretend to install any lms. It will fail to download and then just find and install the already downloaded local lms.deb which is the above 8.5.1 Deb

7. Mai 2024 at 15:59 #53186Thanks bits! Before I had read your reply I had tried to manually install LMS from the command line but was unsuccessful as I hit some dependencies that I couldn’t resolve. And then I tried using PiCorePlayer instead of Max2Play and that worked. But thanks for your reply and I will keep it in mind if I end up switching back to max2play at some point.
7. Mai 2024 at 21:39 #53187Max2play was updated yesterday to 2.59 which fixes the issue.
