I don’t know this is a plugin or other setting need to be adjusted. I have collect music from all over the world. There are many songs wasn’t roman characters.
So I can set to correctly display them for example Japanese, Chinese and other Asian languages. My iPhone can display all those languages.
With Moode I can SSH and apply this „sudo apt-get install ttf-kochi-gothic xfonts-intl-japanese xfonts-intl-japanese-big xfonts-kaname fonts-unfonts-core xfonts-intl-chinese fonts-arphic-uming“
The player will display Asian language fine.
I try to do similar install with Max2play not success may be I am missing something.
The path to Max2Play’s Jivelite is the same as in the documentation from slimdevices, you might try that.
I assume Moode has a wholly different approach to their font management. As mentioned, Jivelite has a different source for its fonts than e.g. our web interface.
