    Hi all,

I’m using a RPi3 with Hifiberry DAC+ Pro. The chinch output is connected to an oldschool amplifier.
When I start the playback via Squeezelite there is a click noise like a static click.

I already tried to change from LAN to WLAN – without any success.

Does anyone have a solution for this issue as it’s really annoying.

    Thanks!

    BR

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

Have you added hardware volume control yet? Also, could you try using Kodi or Shairport to rule out an issue with Squeezelite specifically?

    Hi Heiner,

thanks for the reply. I will try this and come back to you.
It might take a couple of days.

    Thanks again and best regards

    Hi Heiner,

meanwhile I tried using Shairport (Kofi is not installed currently). Unfortunately without success.
    Hardware volume control is added.

    Any more ideas?

    Thanks and best regards

    Hi Mike,

HW volume control is different with shairport, so that probably shouldn’t work anyway.

Kodi should always be installed as it comes preinstalled on all Max2Play. You can start from the Kodi tab.

What are the parameters you added for HW volume control in the Squeezelite advanced settings?

    Hi Mike,

Please remove the „-o“ and leave the rest as is, click save, reboot and try playing something

    Hi Heiner,

also with only ‚-V Digital‘ same result.

    Cheers

    Hi Mike,

I would advise trying out playback on a different out device and with a different cable to rule out all possible sources of error. If the noise is still reproducible, you might have to exchange the DAC.
