When I check ‚reinitialize display‘ and then ’start kodi‘, my monitor shows the Ubunutu startup log, but nothing happens. I can’t type – I have to use ctrl-alt-f2 to get to a different terminal. I’ve included the logs from the UI and the kodi logs below. I’ve tried this on two different monitors. Anyone have suggestions on how to troubleshoot?
Stopping Shairport

What happens when you start Kodi without reinitialize active and after rebooting?
19. Oktober 2017 at 15:56 #31994Hi fa,
Please try updating your version of Kodi with the update button.
20. Oktober 2017 at 5:02 #32001Heiner,
Thanks. My M2P installation was up to date:Running Check for Plugin Updates and install if available
Max2Play is up to date – no update requiredWithin the Kodi menu, the only option I have to update Kodi is via URL:
Kodi (Video) start installation – Replaces current Version: 20151015-e8a3b9d-57
Choose Kodi/XBMC-Package by http-link (package must be .deb) for Update:Can you suggest the correct .deb file and download location?
20. Oktober 2017 at 11:44 #32013Hi fa,
This is Odroid’s repo for Kodi, etc.: http://deb.odroid.in/
https://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=112&t=1819020. Oktober 2017 at 16:03 #32025Heiner,
Thanks. I ran the following commands:apt-key adv –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com –recv-keys AB19BAC9
echo „deb http://deb.odroid.in/c1/ trusty main“ > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/odroid.list
echo „deb http://deb.odroid.in/ trusty main“ >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/odroid.list
apt-get update
apt-fast install kodiNote I did -not- run apt-fast dist-upgrade; if you would like me to, please let me know.
Relevant output:
Preparing to unpack …/kodi_20151019-e8a3b9d-58_armhf.deb …
Unpacking kodi (20151019-e8a3b9d-58) over (20151015-e8a3b9d-57) …
Setting up kodi (20151019-e8a3b9d-58) …I then rebooted max2play. I’m having the same issue – same failure entries in the logs.
24. Oktober 2017 at 12:11 #32054Hi fa,
Sorry to hear that. Do you get the Ubuntu Desktop and have you tried starting Kodi from there?
