So that I can access my MP3 files on my Synology NAS within the Squeezbox Server (now Lyrion Music Server), I have set up a file system mount within Max2Play:
Path: //DISKSTATION/music
Mount point: /mnt/diskstation-music
Type: CIFS
Options: user=Roman,password=xxxxxx,iocharset=utf8,_netdev
This works very well for many years, in the Squeezbox/Lyrion web interface I can access all my files under ‚Main Menu -> Music folder‘.
BUT; every few weeks this mount somehow gets „lost“. In the Squeezbox/Lyrion Music Server it only says ‚Main Menu -> Music Folder -> None‘.
The only thing I then have to do is simply delete the mount entry in Max2Play under file system mount and re-enter the SAME ONE and save it, then it works again (for the next few weeks).
I can’t really imagine where exactly the problem could be? Within Max2Play? Or is the Squeezbox/Lyrion Music Server a problem? Or even the NAS?
What I can say so far is, that I can always access my MP3 files on my NAS from my PC’s and Notebooks, there is never a problem at any time.
And what I can say too is, that a reboot of my Max2Play-Server (a Raspberry Pi) does NOT solve the problem.
Does anyone else have the same problem?
Best regards
Roman
