HI All,
My first time here 🙂 Thx in advance for all the ideas and suggestions.
I have encounter an problem that my player play’s only 1 song from the file type WMA with variable bit rate and then it quits…
The only solution that i have is to reboot and then i can play 1 song again. With the rest of the media files (like MP3) there is no problem.
Anyone an idea on how this happens and cause this problem?Hardware is the Rasptouch I-Sabre V4 that i use a server.
Max2play version (full licences): 2.54Thx for the help.

Can you please post here the Squeezebox server log after you played the first WMA file and tried to start a second one?

Oktober 2021 at 12:39 #51727Can you please check what is set in the Squeezebox Server settings under Advanced/File Types for WMA?
Maybe this discussion in the Slimdevices forum will help you – it’s about a similar case with wmal:

Windows Media: Native
WMA Lossless: Native

that i have is to disable them.Tried to understand what they are talking about at the Slimdevices forum, but i’m not really a lunix guy..
3. November 2021 at 21:25 #51770HI All,
Downloaded pcp-ffmpeg.tcz from the picoreplayer sourceforge repo for encoding the WMA files.
Can someone point me in the right direction on how to install it (pcp-ffmpeg.tcz) with on the Pi (running max2play image:-) )?
Thanks in advance!
4. November 2021 at 13:47 #51774There seems to be a third party plugin called „Play WMA“ for ffmpeg, which you can activate in the settings of the Squeezebox server. Please check if the playback of WMA files works with it.
4. November 2021 at 22:36 #51777happy happy joy joy 🙂 That did the trick! Many many thanks!!!
