    hello,

    I can play DSD (all sizes) and Flac (all sizes), when i change from one format to the other Max2play crashes and i need to hard reboot.

    I have a HP server running LMS, rpi3 running max2play.

    trying it again, it didnt crash the rpi but stopped squeezelite:

    Trying to launch … NOT successful Click here to show detailed information
    [12:43:33.925264] test_open:384 playback open error: Invalid argument
    [12:43:33.925481] output_init_common:382 unable to open output device

    could this be the USB DAC at fault?

    Hi eightdigitworld,

    Sorry about the late reply, I was off work for a few days.

    You can try playing the files via HDMI or the native headphone jack to rule out the USB DAC as a source of error.

    edit: also, check the settings of the LMS on FLAC and DSD playback.

    thanks for the response, no worries about the delay.

    the file setting page confuses me a little, so this me be the issue.

    DFF : DFF: Native
    : FLAC : DSDPLAY
    : FLAC : DSDPLAY
    : FLAC : DSDPLAY

    FLAC : AIFF : FLAC
    : FLAC : Native
    : MP3 :DISABLED
    : PCM : FLAC

    should I have all flac options under DFF as disabled?

    I will try with the headphone/HDMI to rule out the usb interface and get back to you.
