So I have 2 squeezebox classics and wanted another unit for the theatre, preferably with a USB out, so that leaves the touch, a VERRY tough one to find second hand, only option left is to build one.
This is the face plate, waiting on the laser company to finish the case,
Question to the smart people, will it work with the Amanero USB interface of my DAC ?
18. Juli 2017 at 13:38 #29943Hi Apocalyse Boy,
Your setup sounds great and would be perfect for the addition of some Raspberry Pi’s. However, we cannot guarantee that the USB sound card works. We do have an option for USB sound cards that activates the default driver for it and works with a lot of users‘ setups. You can find it in the Raspberry Settings. Just test it out 😉
We would also love to see your build, currently the images are not displaying.

19. Juli 2017 at 17:34 #29986Just send me the images ([email protected]) and I’ll upload them for you.
By the way, you should also try contacting the manufacturer of your DAC to find out whether they work with the default USB sound card drivers for Raspberry Pi.

Link at this stage is the best I can do
On a technical note: how do I get video output in kodi to hdmi with the 7″ screen, I want to connect it to my optima projector in my theater to watch movies, the squeezebox aspect works good, just a bit slow to see the server after a reboot, startup, but I’m going to leave it on and solve that one

31. Juli 2017 at 13:46 #30254The face plate looks great! Looking forward to more updates 🙂
You can activate the HDMI hotplug in the Raspberry Settings to make sure that the Pi recognizes the HDMI connection.
You can also remove the tick at „LCD as Default Display“ to make HDMI the primary connection.
31. Juli 2017 at 17:45 #30264I know you disable the 7″ screen in the web interface and reboot, I was hoping I could switch the output on the fly, Can you set it so that Jivelite is on the 7″ and when you start Kodi, It changes the output to HDMI ?
Works very well with the Amanero USB interface, that part I’m happy with, just not the Video aspect of it

1. August 2017 at 11:41 #30279Great pic!
Unfortunately, the switch between screens always requires a reboot. So the Hotplug solution with a reboot (you can use HTTP commands to simplify this process) is the simplest way.
