Could you possibly implement a plugin with a convolution engine for room correction filters. I understand that there are existing solutions in freeware such as brutefir. J river has a plugin too. The actual filter can be calculated be a number of programs such as REW (free) or various paid for programs like audiolens etc. In LMS there is an old plugin called Inguz which would apply the filter and lots of other cool features. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be maintained any more. I did manage to get it running under LMS in windows with some help. However I not sure how to do it in Linux.
Although this may seem a bit techy it is a really useful feature which I think people would use if it could be installed easily. I suspect that you would not find it difficult to get Inguz running but I understand that there are lots of other solutions out there are other options. As I understand it the measuring software is the difficult bit and the convolution engine should be pretty straightforward.

I’d be really pleased if you could get this working, and I suspect other people would be interested too.22. Dezember 2016 at 22:44 #25183Hi,
I would like a room correction plugin as well. My favorite is brutefir.Best regards
Torsten6. Dezember 2018 at 8:53 #42570Is there something new with DRC? BruteFir would be nice. Thank you.
6. Dezember 2018 at 19:24 #42580Heiner- any chance of your looking into this. I’m sure that for people of your talents adding the ability to load a convolution filter would be easy enough.
7. Dezember 2018 at 12:44 #42600Thank you everyone for your feedback. We have been looking into the DSP-solution for HiFiBerry’s BeoCreate and DAC DSP thus far. Could you point us to the solution you would prefer and a corresponding raspbian stretch implementation for further info?
7. Dezember 2018 at 13:32 #42603I have had not enough time to study this issue so far, Archimage uses LMS server on a virtual Linux machine (Ubuntu):
http://archimago.blogspot.com/2016/03/howto-logitech-media-server-brutefirdrc.html
It looks that it should be quite easy to make a manual installation and test it, the problem might be hardware – perhaps Raspberry is not enough to run DRC.
Rune audio (I suppose) does not use LMS:

7. Dezember 2018 at 13:36 #42604Not 100% sure about stretch. I’m not sure whether you would wish to operate DRC as an LMS plugin or as a gernal plugin for the Max2play distro. (as with Spotify which IIRC can be either). Either case I suspect that you may wish to make sure that the hardware has the power to run it.
I originally came to this becasue I had used a semi-defunct plugin for lMS called inguz. It seems to have been revised somewhat. It seem to be possible to get it to work but it would be much more useful for ordinary users if it could be combined into an easy package in M2P
see https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?77084-RC-(Inguz-etc-)/page43&highlight=inguzSimilarly some people seem to be able to get the Brutefir plugin to work, but I found it very fiddly.
For brutefir outside of LMS does this help?
https://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=sourcenames&keywords=brutefirI don’t know whether it may be possible, when usings a room correction filter generated elsewhere, to simpkly apply the filter using SoX.
I’m not familar with any other implementations for linux but hope other can chip in if they know of any others.

Since Daphile is used and configured completely via the web interface the user is not required to have any Linux skills.“Only one problem – no ARM version, only PC.
14. Dezember 2018 at 8:51 #42754I have been playing with Volumio this week. It have DRC with Brutefir plugin, resampling and equalizer. I get used to Max2play with great LMS, but Volumio seems to be very good for testing sound with resampling and DRC.

24. Mai 2020 at 21:37 #48842I noticed this on the squeezebox forum and wondered whether this might be a workable solution to incorporate in max2play
