Powered by the tellows Community
tellows functions as an online database of telephone numbers associated with spam and scam activity reported by you, our users. By sharing experiences with unknown numbers, everyone is providing vital warning information to other users unsure about whether or not to trust a certain caller.
That information is then used for our call blocker software and hardware to ensure the best and most up to date caller protection imaginable. Used by over 200,000 people daily, tellows provides its services to people in over 47 countries. You can take advantage of this huge database by buying the data for your Max2Play device or buying a dedicated call blocker with the data on it from the tellows store:

I seen there is a plug in for this on Max2Play. So I looked it up. It would be real nice to block calls. I know when I 1-800 call comes in it’s all ways some one trying to sell you something.
How does this work with Mas2play? I guess it knows from a IP the tellows call blocker get?
Do it work with a real phone? We have a real phone still and a google voice here with a obihai box.
Looks like this tellows cost about $100.
Just want to see how it would work. Would the plugin for Max2play display the caller ID on the Max2play screen?

OK I can see we have the Max2Play software and call blocker module installed on a Pi BUT what other hardware is needed to attach this to a telephone. Is it a PBX solution or will it connect up with a normal house phone with standard telephone jacks. This sort of information seems to be lacking and is preventing me from deciding if I want to try and build a system.

Hi Fred,
The Callblocker plugin is based on the tellows Callblocker. You can connect it to your phone system either via VoIP or with the use of an analogue kit.
Here, you can find more information.
Can the CallBlocker handle multiple numbers? I’m using 4 SIP numbers on my FRITZ!Box.
Hello Holger, yes, in the Fritz!Box you can set the blocker as an additional phone and choose for which of your numbers the call blocker should be activated.
